From July 2018 to April 2019, I worked at Life Skills Group Online as a game developer creating games that would be implemented on their online platform. Life Skills Group Online is a startup that was using its already established offline knowledge to develop an online platform that primary school students could use to develop social-emotional skills such as friendship, a team mindset, kindness and honesty. A typical LSGO lesson consists of an animated lecture, followed by a short quiz, capped off by a game.
The educational goal of these games is for users to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson in an environment where the skills could be helpful.
The secondary goal of these games is to make a welcoming, engaging and enjoyable experience that can be enjoyed and understood by children of all ages and demographics.
Technically, these games are small, simple, intuitive well-polished and very easy to reproduce for use in different age brackets and lesson types.
