The soccer game was by far our most popular and complex.
In this game, players pass their soccer ball to teammates by clicking on the kids who are thinking of the correct answer to a question, and lose the ball if they answer incorrectly.
This game was also developed with a multiplayer mode, allowing kids to play either by themselves or with a friend. Multiplayer is played on one screen, and players switch control of the game whenever the ball changes side. This game also includes various elements of polish such as:

  • Randomised colours for character hair/skin and team colours.
  • Six different hairstyles, styled off the six main LSGO characters.
  • A crowd that reacts to player actions.
  • Special effects when kicking a goal.
    • The pointing arrows, sinkhole and an finger moving towards the goal were also added to help players understand how to kick a goal.

    Despite the above graphical polish, and unlike most games, soccer games always use the same art.The only thing that changes in a new game is the educational content changes, although the rules, such as time limit and single player AI strength can be tweaked, and the K/2 version uses a different ruleset where the players are given a much simpler question structure.
